JOIN THE CIRCUS

Circus Gallery are looking for another artist to join their roster.
Circus Gallery currently represents 8 artists, showing works across the UK and US and in the Circus Gallery pop-up showroom in Winchester.
Circus Gallery will be conducting an open call, asking artists to apply via the website. 5 artists will be selected to take part in the 'Summer Exhibition' held in June at the Circus Gallery showroom in Winchester.
One of the artists from the selected 5 will be chosen to be represented by the gallery which will include presentation of their work at the prestigious Affordable Art Fair in Battersea 14 - 18th October 2026 (eligibility requirements).
Who can apply?
Circus Gallery welcome applications from visual artists based in the UK, working across Painting, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography and Sculpture.
Please note that representation at The Affordable Art Fair, Battersea is only available to artists who have not exhibited at the same event with any gallery in the last 12months.

Application Process​
Each applicant will be asked to provide;
Artwork
Artists can provide up to 3 images per artwork (maximum of 2mb per image).
To a maximum of 3 artworks in total, and must include - Title, Medium,
Year of creation, Dimensions, Price and Edition details (printmaking and photography if applicable)

Each application is limited to a maximum of 3 artworks
Artist
We will also ask each applicant to provide the following information;

Artists Statement (limited to 400 words)
Fee
Application fee is
-
£20 for 1 x artwork - minimum submission
-
£10 extra per artwork x 2 maximum.
i.e
1 x artwork £20
2 x artworks £20 + £10 = £30
3 x artworks £20 + £10 + £10 = £40
All artworks must be available for sale. The gallery will take 50% commission upon a sale.
All artworks must be supplied ready to hang or install using suitable materials.
Submission fees are not refundable.

Eligibility Criteria / Terms & Conditions

We welcome submissions from all UK based artists.

Eligibility for Affordable Art Fair, Battersea is only open to Artists who have not previously shown at the same event in 2025.

Retail price £500 - £10,000.

Successful artists will be responsible for delivery and collection of artworks to the gallery in Winchester on the required dates.

All successful artworks must be advertised on any applicable websites / social media for exactly the same price.

The Gallery reserves the right to hang works at their discretion.

The Gallery reserves the right to refuse to show any artwork that is not presented in a suitable, ‘ready to hang’, professional condition.

Artists are expected to promote their participation in the Summer Exhibition (and AAF) on all relevant social media platforms.

Submission fees are non-refundable.
